How would you describe your religious affiliation and/or spiritual background?
While I am a practicing Roman Catholic, I am a strong believer in a general spirituality that embraces all religions, all human beings, all creation. I am a follower of both Ignatian and Franciscan spirituality.
In one word, how would you describe the way you feel about the GTU?
Supportive.
What excites you about being a member of the GTU’s Board of Trustees?
The ability to help the institution move forward in nurturing tomorrow’s faith, moral, and ethical leaders who will in turn nourish many other people’s spiritual journeys.
What do you find inspiring about GTU 2.0 and the future of the GTU?
Open-mindedness, harnessing of technology, and modern pedagogy to nourish and transform souls.
What else would you like the GTU community to know about you?
I returned to the Catholic faith of my youth about two decades ago. My journey from nonbeliever to spiritual director is described in a book I have just completed tentatively titled Journey to the Heart of God: A Memoir. I have also just started a FacebookAuthor page. The Page is based on lessons learned in my spiritual journey; it provides spiritual prompts and exercises to encourage a daily spiritual practice of awareness, contemplation, and action.
