Motwani-Jadeja Foundation Hindu Chaplaincy Fellows

Spring 2023 Fellows

The MJF Fellowship supports training and certifying Hindu Chaplains to serve in the growing global networks of chaplains from all major faiths, especially in universities, hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice settings.

Kristine Bell

I am happy to join the current CHT cohort at HCI as I enter the Interreligious Chaplaincy Program at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. As an administrative, customer service, communications, and marketing professional, when Yoga found me over 17 years ago, I knew within days that I would do it for the rest of my life. My sadhana in the Iyengar lineage and in-depth studies of the sacred texts began in earnest, and eventually, and quite naturally, my worldview became that of classical Yoga and the larger Hindu tradition. I plan to serve the spiritual needs of the Hindu and Yoga communities with my skills as a chaplain. The knowledge that has come from India, when applied, is transformational and meant to aid all aspects of life.

I hold a liberal arts Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I’m from.

Sudha Bhat

I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by people who have been making positive impacts to everyone around them.  In all the roles I play -daughter, sister, mother, wife, professional and volunteer- I am striving to do the same.  As a volunteer I have participated in dialogues in interfaith communities and with students about values and morals from Sanatana Dharma. I also volunteer at the Local county’s Domestic and Sexual Violence support services office to help the survivors to thrive by providing them non-judgmental, compassionate and empathetic support.

I have an MBA in Business Administration and Bachelors of Engineering, with Industry experiences in information technology and business process improvement and I am an ICF certified Life coach.

I was exposed to Hindu Spiritual care thru Chinmaya International foundation and am excited with the new avenues it opens up to support those in need, especially in a minority community. I am grateful to be part of HCP course at HCI  and ICP course at GTU to prepare me in this journey to serve humanity, one human at a time.
