Lectures and Addresses

Each year, the GTU sponsors a number of public lectures given by noted scholars or artists from within the GTU consortium and elsewhere. Themes range from religious pluralism, theology and natural science, and the meaning of vocation, to Indian dance and Native American oratory.

Surjit Singh Lecture

The annual Surjit Singh Lecture in Comparative Religious Thought and Culture fosters interreligious and cross-cultural communication and understanding.

Distinguished Faculty Lectures

Each November the GTU honors a distinguished professor who embodies the scholarly standards, teaching excellence, and commitment to interreligious understanding that define the GTU.

Reading of the Sacred Texts

Each year, the Friends of the GTU Library invite a scholar with connection to a written or oral "sacred text" to offer insights into the words that shape our sense of the sacred.

Borsch-Rast Book Prize and Lectureship

The Borsch-Rast Book Prize and Lectureship has as its purpose the encouragement of the writing and publication of theological scholarship by GTU graduates and current faculty.
