Bilimoria Receives Fulbright Award to Teach in India

Dr. Purushottama Bilimoria of the GTU’s Mira and Ajay Shingal Center for Dharma Studies (CDS) has been awarded a Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Award to teach and conduct research at Ashoka University in Sonipat, Haryana, India. Dr. Bilimoria will travel to India for the Fall 2019 semester, where he will teach courses at Ashoka University on “Philosophies of India and the West” and “Gandhi and Nonviolence,” and will pursue additional research on a project entitled, “Rt Hon Srinivasa Sastri: His Relationship with the Empire, Gokhlae, and Gandhi.” Since 2014, Dr....

Library Gallery

The GTU Library presents a new photographic exhibition by Blaine Ellis, "Technicians of the Sacred." The exhibit runs from February 15 – May 31, 2019. The opening reception with the artist  will be held in the Flora Lamson Hewlett Library from 6-8:00 pm on Thursday, March 21.

The exhibition features striking black and white photographs of sacred spaces throughout the world. Ellis observes:

For more than a decade, the GTU has offered its Visiting Scholar program to faculty from academic institutions who are visiting temporarily in the area and who are not employed locally either by the GTU or any other institution as well as to GTU alumni. Sacred World Art Collection Finds New Home
