Berling-Holder Fund for Interreligious Education

In May 2016, to honor retiring former GTU academic deans Judith Berling and Arthur Holder, the GTU established the Judith Berling and Arthur Holder Fund for Interreligious Education.  A donor wishing to remain anonymous made a generous gift of $16,000 to initiate this fund, with the hope that others would want to contribute as well. The fund will be used to enhance interreligious education at the GTU though special projects, research, guest lectures, consultations, courses, and other activities. GTU/Mills College Cross-Registration Agreement

The following is the agreement between Mills College (MC) and the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) as of March, 1977: GTU students may take graduate or upper division courses at Mills College on the approval of the instructor for undergraduate courses and the instructor and department head for graduate courses. All courses taken by GTU students on an exchange basis must be approved by the Dean of their school of affiliation. Women’s Studies in Religion will host their 2nd Student Conference on Women and Religion on March 1, 2013. They are inviting submissions from all GTU students in any program. Did you know that the Graduate Theological Union is a charity eligible to receive Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) directly from your individual retirement account (IRA)? A Qualified Charitable Distribution is a direct, tax-free transfer of funds from your IRA to an eligible charity, such as the Graduate Theological Union (GTU). Any individual 70½ or older is eligible to make a QCD.  QCDs can be counted toward satisfying your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year. Voter Registration

Schools in most states and the District of Columbia must make a good faith effort to distribute voter registration forms to their students. This voter registration requirement was included in the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.
