The Doug Adams Gallery brought together representatives from the five leading Master of Fine Arts programs in the Bay Area for this, our first annual Bay Area MFA Show. The multi-media works on display dealt with issues ranging from the transformation of the American female identity to the mass-suicide of members of the religious group, "Heaven's Gate." Through the media of ceramics, watercolor, collage, wood, and ice, the artists explore the formation of belief and community, as well as the natural world and spiritual consciousness expressed through color and form.
