Join us for a conversation between author (and CJS alum!) Angela Botelho and CJS Director Deena Aranoff about Botelho's new book German Jews and the Persistence of Jewish Identity in Conversion: Writing the Jewish Self.
Please join CJS for the first installment in our Spring "conversations@cjs" series on critical topics in the field of Jewish Studies. This event will feature distinguished panelists Richard Hidary (Yeshiva University), Charlotte Fonrobert (Stanford University), and Deena Aranoff (GTU) in conversation facilitated by Sam Shonkoff (GTU).
In January, CJS Director Deena Aranoff contributed a video to The Plagues Project, which highlights over 30 videos from Jewish voices showcasing the variety of ways that Jews have thought about Plagues - both the Biblical Plagues and plagues throughout history - for the last 3,000 years.
