This program provides doctoral students with the opportunity to work with core faculty to develop and teach new courses and lead research. Presidential Scholars Program. Ann Taves has recently been appointed as Professor of Religious Studies and the Virgil Cordano, O.F,M., Professor of Catholic Studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
