Join CARe for part two of this two-part poetry series related to our Fall 2019 exhibition Beyond Words

CARe board member and poet-in-residence Rev. Nate Klug will be leading a group poetry reading of 5 poets, all involved in discussion of sacred texts.

Derrick Austin is the author of Trouble the Water (BOA Editions, 2016). He is currently a Wallace Stegner Fellow in Poetry at Stanford.

Chiyuma Elliott is the author of California Winter League (Unicorn Press, 2015). She is Assistant Professor of African American Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

Nate Klug is the author of Anyone (University of Chicago Press, 2015). He is the pastor of Arlington Community Church in Kensington.

Katie Peterson is the author, most recently, of A Piece of Good News (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2019). She directs the Graduate Creative Writing Program at the University of California at Davis.

Jacques Rancourt is the author of Novena (Pleiades Press, 2017). He lives in San Francisco.
