Watch a Recording of the Event Here

Dr. Rabin's talk is titled "Placing Jews in American History," and it will consider how Jews have been understood and how Judaism has been transformed in American history, using the 1669 Fundamental Constitutions of Carolina as its starting point.

Dr. Hussain's talk is titled "Anti-Racism and Teaching about American Muslims," and it will look at the history of American Muslims, especially African slaves and African American Muslims, and connect that to civil rights (e.g. Malcolm X), and contemporary situations (e.g. Keith Ellison and the trial of George Floyd's murderer).

We would like to thank the Walter & Elise Haas Fund for the generous support of the Madrasa-Midrasha Program at the GTU.
