art window: Artist Panel Discussion

Thursday, January 21st 2021, 5:00pm to 6:00pm
Online Event, 2400 Ridge Rd Berkeley, CA 94709

Join the Center for the Arts & Religion on Zoom to kick off 2021 with an Artist Panel Discussion!

Artists Ora Clay, Elizabeth Jimenez Montelongo, and Shirin Khalatbari will be discussing their work, displayed from October through January in CARe's socially-distanced exhibition, Art Window.

While each working with distinct media, and coming from unique perspectives, all three artists' work deals with themes of social justice. From indigenous Mexican dancers in San Francisco, keeping their sacred traditions alive, to the terrain that refugees around the world must traverse in search of a better life, the artwork created by these talented, local artists reflects a wide range of issues that beset our modern times.
