Among the most popular and riveting subjects to issue from the print shops of the late 15th and early 16th century were illustrations of scenes from the Book of Revelation. This presentation will trace the early modern reception of Revelation through the development of these printed apocalypses, with attention to how they helped shape politics and faith before, during, and after the Reformation.
