The Borsch-Rast Book Prize and Lectureship of the Graduate Theological Union has as its purpose the encouragement of the writing and publication of theological scholarship by GTU graduates and current faculty. Visiting Scholars at the GTU

For more than a decade, the GTU has offered its Visiting Scholar program to faculty from academic institutions who are visiting temporarily in the area and who are not employed locally either by the GTU or any other institution as well as to GTU alumni. Townes Graduate Student Fellowship

The Charles H. Townes Graduate Student Fellowship was established in 2005 in order to help support doctoral students at the Graduate Theological Union working in theology and science. The Townes Fellowship offers modest financial support for GTU doctoral students pursuing research in theology and science. It is now an endowed program at the GTU. Russell Family Research Fellowship

The annual Russell Family Research Fellowship in Religion and Science brings internationally distinguished scholars in religion and science to the GTU. Since 1981, Russell Fellows have been in residence at CTNS/GTU to conduct research, teach doctoral and seminary courses with Professor Russell and other GTU faculty, and present public lectures at the GTU and at other San Francisco Bay Area locations.
