As part of a Luce funded project, CIS will be leading a discussion/workshop at the AAR in Denver on Islamic Studies in Interreligious Contexts. A report/publication will be available later in November.

Congratulations to Carol Bier, CIS research scholar and Islamic art historian, who was just elected as an honorary member of the International Society for the Interdisciplinary Study of Symmetry.

CIS is delighted to host Dr. Bernard Adeney-Risakotta, GTU Alum and Professor at the ICRS in Indonesia. Dr. Adeney-Risakotta will be presenting on his new book, Living in a Sacred Cosmos: Indonesia and the Future of Islam.
