In conjunction with Berkeley Rep's presentation of Tony Kushner's groundbreaking play Angels in America, the GTU is cohosting "Angelology: A Live Panel on Millenarianism" on Monday, May 14 at 6:30pm in Berkeley Rep’s Peet’s Theatre. The panel will explore the questions “Why do angels appear to people? What forecasts the end of the world?” through Jewish and Mormon lenses. Panelists include Naomi Seidman (Koret Professor of Jewish Culture at the GTU), Daniel Matt (former director of the GTU's Center for Jewish Studies), along with Kathryn Pritchett and MJ Pritchett, and the conversation will be moderated by Bob Rees, director of Mormon studies at the Graduate Theological Union. This event is free and no reservations are required. (This event does not include a performance of the play.)
