Student Communication

Electronic Mail

GTU provides GTU doctoral students with gmail accounts.  Your GTU email address is an important communication link at the GTU.  Your gmail address will be assigned to you; to learn more about this system go to www.gtulink.edu.  The GTU Dean of Students Office will use your gmail account to communicate with you about information you will not receive by any other medium.  It is one of the ways to notify you of upcoming events, policy and procedure changes, and other important information.  It is very important that you set up your account and check it regularly.

Mail Boxes

GTU doctoral students and MA students who specialize in Jewish Studies and,
therefore, are directly affiliated with GTU, can have a mailbox.  Student mailboxes are found in the basement
of the GTU LeConte Building.  Student mailboxes are locked; you will
receive information about how to obtain a box, if you wish, during orientation.
All other MA students have mailboxes at
their school of affiliation.  If
mailboxes are available, both GTU special students and MA students who are affiliated
with SFTS, but who live in Berkeley,
may request a mailbox.  Contact Fredonia
Thompson, Student Affairs Office Manager, at 649-2400.

If you
are not taking classes and/or it is impossible for you to check your mail box on
a regular basis, please contact Fredonia Thompson, Student Affairs Office
Manager, at 649-2400, and she will close out your box.
