Recent media stories featuring the GTU

The 150 GTU faculty members can offer the media a breadth of knowledge and critical insight into matters of ethics, spirituality, and religious experience that is unmatched in the United States. The GTU understands that scholarly work is meant to be in dialogue with the issues of the modern world, and we welcome your call to the communications office to contact our faculty.

Several GTU-affiliated research centers focus on issues of civic values, women, and science in relation to religion. The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences, the Center for Jewish Studies (CJS), Center for Islamic Studies (CIS), and the Center for the Arts, Religion, and Education are rich media resources for in-depth commentary on stories related to those areas.

The GTU Speakers Bureau describes presentations by GTU faculty on topics like "Ancient Spiritualities for Postmodern Seekers," "Sacred Space in Public Places," and "Creation and Cosmology."

To request a press kit or to speak with GTU faculty, contact Joanne Brown in the Communications Office at 510/649-2422. You can also browse our online experts guide and hot topics list. We understand the deadline-driven nature of your work, and will respond to your request as quickly as possible.
