Discussion of Obama's "race" speech and the response by race activist Tim Wise.
Donnel Miller-Mutia will facilitate a discussion of these two documents. Perhaps you heard Obama's speech on the news, or you can read it on his website. A white activist has responded with a call for people of privilege to acknowledge their role in current events. A copy of his reply is also available online. Event conveners encourage attendees to read the documents beforehand. Participants may bring lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided.
