Marilyn Matevia, Ph.D. candidate in Ethics and Social Theory, and Robert Russell, Professor of Theology and Science and Director of the Center for Theology and Natural Sciences, will speak. The faculty member receiving the Sarlo Excellence in Teaching Award will also be announced.

Osher Marin JCC Visiting Scholar Noam Pianko, Jewish Studies scholar, professor and author of “Zionism and the Roads Not Taken: Rawidowicz, Kaplan, Kohn” will explore probing questions about peoplehood; past, present, and future to reassess the possibilities and limitations of Jewish collectivity today.

In this workshop we will look at steps and some strategies of bringing your congregation to a place of inclusion of transgender people through awareness, understanding, allyship, and advocacy. This workshop touches on the typical "Trans 101" work but goes deeper. This workshop is cosponsored by the Coalition of Welcoming Congregations and will be presented by Lee Whittaker.
The San Francisco Theological Seminary (SFTS) Auxiliary invites you to attend Seminary For A Day, an annual event in which the Bay Area community can enjoy time on the seminary’s historic campus, learn from esteemed lecturers, and connect with members of the SFTS community.
